Craps players at Grand Victoria Casino Elgin continue to have a unique way to add to their winnings without having to make any sort of big or side bet in order to participate.
In “Craps for Cash,” all a shooter has to do is make all the working points during one “hand,” when he or she is rolling the dice.
If the shooter hits all six of the live numbers - the 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 - before rolling a 7 that kills the run, he or she is in line to collect a bonus of $4,000.
According to marketing manager Marilou Pilman, the only thing the shooter has to do is place a bet on the pass line before he or she begins a roll in order to qualify.
“The latest winner was Daniel B., of Glenview, rolling all of the numbers last month on his roll,” Pilman said.
“To date, the Grand Victoria has paid out more than $1.55 million in ‘Craps for Cash’ jackpots since its launch in August 2003. There have been 388 winner during that period.”
The final drawings for Grand Victoria’s “Break the Bank” promotion will take place today, she added.
Those drawings will take place at 2 and 8 p.m. when $16,000 will be awarded to 10 guests.
One entry into the drawing is received for every 1,000 points earned on guests’ players cards. Since the drawings began March 4, $160,000 has been awarded to 100 winners.
